I've never heard so much laughter during a training day before 😂🤣
It was one of those extra good days, a full day on Psychological Safety with all managers in Visma PubliTech.
Thank you for an enormously nice reception and your genuine commitment. So much wisdom gathered in this group. So exciting with the path taken towards a learning, courageous, inclusive organization with a lot of laughter and warmth!
We reviewed the research on psychological safety and neuroscience references.
We tried it out
-Many, many tools. For example, the powerful word THANK YOU at the right moment and how a thoughtful breath can be the difference between psychological insecurity and security.
-Mindful listening and matching each other in conversation and also experienced the pain that arises in being mismatched, and how small details in the body's communication make the difference.
Communicating courageously and listening empathetically is an art. Are you aware of your intention when you listen to someone? Are you listening to understand or respond?
7 criteria used to measure psychological safety
🟡If you make a mistake, it won't be held against you
🟢Can raise problems and difficult questions
🟠Easy to ask others in the group for help
🟣(Inclusion & Diversity) Does not exclude members from the group because they are different.
🔵Feels safe to take risks in this group
🔴No one in this group would knowingly act in a way that undermines my work.
🟡Group members value and use my abilities and skills.
Do you know how many mistakes happen in your organization that you will never know about and therefore never learn from, but only risk being repeated year after year.
How do you contribute to psychological safety in groups?
